smpCTF 2010 Hacker Olympics

  • 1. (1) one person from each team must be available on IRC during the CTF.
    (this makes it easier for us to send out updates etc...)

    2. Each team may not consist of more than (5) people.
    (1-8 is allowed for qualifications rounds)

    3. Each team placing within the TOP 5 at the end of the qualifications round
    must submit a writeup to qualify for the finals.
    (In the event a winning team does not submit a writeup, the following team will
    gain entry into the finals
    )

    4. Tampering with anything outside of the challenges will result in your team
    being disqualified.
    (This includes: our sponsors, radio stream, irc, our hosting facility.)

    5. No sort of Port Scanning, Automated Scanning of any sort
    fuzzing or Brute Forcing attacks will be required or will be tolerated.
    Local binary brute forcing is allowed on your own machine & resources,
    not the challenge servers.


    Any team caught doing so will be placed on the wall of shame..
    First offence Warning - 2% points.
    Second offence Either 15% point reduction or team disqualification.
    smpStaff discretion

    6. Leaking challenge info/flags/specific details will be no good for anyone.
    If this is detected, the team leaking information will be removed.

    7. Smack talking on IRC is a must ;P
